Lyrics

A lady grand and marvelous once took care of me. Emiline from ireland embodies all that's green. Staying at her house at night, feeling so secure; my illnesses she would attend, her gentle love my cure. She's greet me every morning with many wondrous things. Breakfast has never been the same without the way she'd sing.
Tales of leprecauns and fairies filled my growing mind. Through her busy working life she'd always find the time
To tell the love that brought us here how grandpa Charles would play the mandolin that filled the house with cheer and gaitey. We took a trip to Boston to see some history. Old North Church; "One by land and two if by sea." She made me feel the grandeaur of my heritage and the feeling has stayed with me as I have come of age.
YOU ARE THE BEST CHILD WE HAVE; A VERY SPECIAL ONE. THERE' NO ONE QUITE LIKE YOU. YOU ARE MY GRANDSON!
Never did a day go by when a prayer wasn't sent, from the lips of Emily for family and friends. She taught me of the love of God; so warm with poetry. Because of her when I am hurt, I can still believe.
Now the years have come and gone, grandma's like a child. I weep with joy, roles reversed, for a little while. All the good she's done for me, I can now repay, and sing the song she sang for me that made me feel so safe.
YOU ARE THE BEST CHILD WE HAVE; A VERY SPECIAL ONE. THERE' NO ONE QUITE LIKE YOU. YOU ARE MY GRANDSON!
